New songs from Carinthia composed by Dirk D’Ase, Akos Banlaky, Janko Kastelic, Wolfgang Liebhart and Bartolo Musil based on poems and texts by Delphine Blumenfeld, Antonio Fian, Maja Haderlap, Josef Winkler and many more
Ö1 radio host Ulla Pilz as well as baritone and composer Bartolo Musil, a professor at the Salzburg Mozarteum, have extended a special invitation to the Domenig Stone House on Lake Ossiacher See: New songs from Carinthia by a number of authors and composers, selected by Vienna-based composer Akos Banlaky. The grimly mischievous humour of Antonio Fian’s mini-dramas will be juxtaposed with the sensitive poetry of Delphine Blumenfeld, pensive texts by Josef Winkler and multi-lingual poems by Maja Haderlap. All the songs of the evening are performed for the very first time, the latest music will be underscored by the exciting surrounding architecture of Günther Domenig, which is a sensation in itself.
All the songs performed were commissioned by the Carinthian Summer Festival.
