The New Austrian Sound of Music (NASOM) is the funding programme for young musical talents of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs. In the intimate ambiance of the early Gothic mountain church of Tiffen listen to the current NASOM artists active in new music, pop and classical music: The ensemble airborne extended expands the sound spaces created by transverse flutes and recorders into those of the harpsichord and the harp, often combining this with electronic sounds and performance art. Cellist Lukas Lauermann plays wonderfully empathetic solo pieces which defy all categorisation, and Vivid Consort takes you on an excursion into the world of the delicately melancholic English and French Renaissance music.
This concert is supported by the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.
