An evening for the musically curious, for the explorers, set against the stimulating architecture of the Domenig Stone House: This is now for the fourth time that composer Akos Banlaky has invited colleagues to find out what new Carinthian songs can sound like today. This year, he has rallied the support of the popular tenor Helmut Wildhaber and the young and highly talented duo Vera Karner and Dominik Wagner.
The two are prizewinners of the 2nd Fanny Mendelssohn Award and they have been making music together since 2014. Dominik Wagner is one of the current winners of the Bradetich Double Bass Competition in the USA and he was awarded an ECHO Classical Award. Helmut Wildhaber, born and raised in Klagenfurt, grew up with the Carinthian song tradition.
