As a composer and professor, Dieter Kaufmann has been a trendsetter in his speciality since 1970 when he founded the Department of Electro-Acoustic Music at the University of Music in Vienna; he created an extensive body of works and as a teacher, he influenced entire generations of composers. The Carinthian Summer Festival will dedicates a concert of new works by Dieter Kaufmann to the Viennese composer on his 75th birthday. Also on the programme: a representative of the younger generation and a twentieth-century classic.
