She stands for the vitality and currency as well as the great tradition of organ music as she plays the respective instrument. Iveta Apkalna has appeared in the most renowned concert halls of the world, and since 2017, she has been the titular organist of the new Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. She has made it her task to spread the splendour of the organ beyond the confines of churches, in the big concert halls. Apkalna cooperates with great orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, or the orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
