Emmanuelle Bertrand and the pianist Pascal Amoyel have been a duo since 1999 and both rank amongst the most sought-after soloists in France on their instruments.
When this artistic pair makes music together, you can feel it: they simply understand each other blindly and can immerse themselves completely in the music. Their moving, profound interpretations are created in finely balanced interplay. Neither instrument dominates disproportionately. This can be heard in her previous recordings with cello sonatas by Shostakovich (2013), Chopin (2015) and Saint-Saens (2017), among others, which have been awarded important critics’ prizes such as the Diapason d’Or and the Cannes Classical Award.
The commitment of Emmanuelle Bertrand and Pascal Amoyel is supported by Claudia Boyneburg-Lengsfeld-Stipendiary, Hotel Goldenes Lamm, Villach.
This concert is supported by the Carinthian Federation of Industry.
